Kirsty Weir has a 1st Class Honours in BSc Consumer Studies (Marketing) from University of Ulster leading her into the golfing world as the Sales & Marketing Manager for the Championship Galgorm Castle for 5 years. Seeking out unique selling points and creating strategies and marketing both traditionally and digitally to the correct target markets was key to the role. This role also brought sponsorship and event management to the forefront of skills working as part of the team who created ‘The Northern Ireland Open’ one of the most anticipated events on the European Challenge Tour circuit.
Working with a diverse range of partners and sponsors provides an understanding of how various brands evolve and seek key opportunities to ensure the correct perception of their brand is showcased. This is where Kirsty found a passion for using golf events as a marketing and PR tool for brands, creating and managing key packages from the banking sector to the food industry.
Kirsty was the Regional Sales Manager for MacDonald Hotels in the North of Scotland gaining knowledge and skills in the hospitality sector in Scotland.
Working as part of a team to bring the Galgorm Castle Golf Club brand to life, creating website, collateral and sales and marketing plans.
Responsible for gaining sponsorship, managing sponsors and managing the event along with the Marketing and PR elements of the event.
Working to bring a new generation of dentistry to life taking a vision and communicating it to the public through a variety of methods.

Played a leading role in developing the award winning operation of Elea Estate, Cyprus alongside my Director of Operations. A resort startup whereby in its first year was awarded Best Golf Development in Europe. Many components of the business and strategies were introduced at the start to ensure success and longevity of the Estate.
After a successful start up operation at Elea Estate, The Trump Organisation came in for me to start up their first European golf property. Responsible for the overall set up of the golf operation, retail, coaching programmes and the overall customer experience. Within months we were receiving accolades for the golf course whilst receiving many awards on different aspects of the business.
